The Bloater is a cold smoked whole herring that has a rich taste and was once a staple part of the local diet. Smoked to extend shelf life nowadays smoked more to give added flavour.
Whole Vacuum Packed for extended shelf life.
The fish is supplied whole (round) so must be gutted before cooking. Grill or Simmer for 2-3 Mins - Add butter when serving if desired
